Happy First Birthday Card....

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today's birthday card share is one I made with the new The Stamps of Life stamp set candles4birthday.  I love, love, love this set.  Plus, it came in just in the nick of time for Hunter's first birthday!!  I thought the sentiment was very fitting.  :)

I am a Die Hard Member at The Stamps of Life, so my stamp set came with a matching die set.  Click on the link and check out how you can become a member too!

Here is the card...

Baby Baby Baby....

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well I guess it's about time I got caught up around here.  Been super busy.  I have a few baby shower projects I will be sharing for the next few days.  It's a boom around here lately.  I LOVE IT!!!  <3 <3 <3

My friend Nicole asked if I could help her with some banners for a few of her friends showers.  She has a new little one herself and well, you know how it is when you have a baby.  Enlist help!  :)  LOL! Which I am always happy to do.  I got the owl svg from Scrapcation Getaway  The letter font is Pupcat.  I love this color combination.

Sorry I don't have a pic of it strung up.  When she gets one to me I will share.  :)

So this is one of several, but I will save those posts for after their showers.

My gift for the nursery...

Hello Crafty Friends!!!

Just wanted to share the pillow I made for Kristine's chair in the nursery room and the card I made. Someday I will get over there and get a pic of the finished nursery.  LOL!  It's absolutely adorable.  :)

This is the first time I worked with a rope edge. I don't think it turned out half bad. I had to do some research because it was so thick it made it hard to get through the machine, but I did it somehow.  LOL!  If there's a will, there's a way, right?!

I was so proud of my perfectly pinned corners.  :)

I used the Love You Tons svg from
Miss Kate Cuttables

If you want to see what else I made using Miss Kate Cuttables Love You Tons svg and digis you can check it out here  and here.

Dirt bike diaper cake...

Hello Crafty Friends!!!

I became a Great Auntie again back in November to a beautiful baby boy.  It has been quite the baby boom around here lately.  I love it!!!!!

His nursery theme is dirt bikes.  I made this diaper cake for the sprinkle.

Since this is his color scheme I was not able to find receiving blankets, etc, that you would normally use to make a diaper cake, so I improvised with flannel fabric and felt sheets.  Worked beautifully (and was a lot less expensive to make).  :)

Namma (aka-My Bestie)...

Hello Crafty Friends!

My bestie, (who will now be known as Namma) has been a Namma  for quite a few weeks now.  :)  She is over the moon about her first born grandson.  He is pretty perfect :)  She definitely found her creative crafty side these last several months while preparing for his arrival.  I just could not, not share some of her wonderful crafty projects.  Soooo cute and creative.  :)

First she made this beautiful blankie, you know how babies
love those silkie trimmed blankies.  :)

She made this adorable little blankie cape for his little elephant
friend.  <3

Don't you just love this!!!  A elephant pic made with buttons!!!
I am so crazy for this picture with its drift wood frame.
This soooo matches his nursery theme.  <3 <3

She made a watering trough out of a big galvanized
tub, full of peanuts and water bottles labeled to match the decor!!

Here she is making the shower cake.  She is amazing and so talented!
(Cake pops provided by Tracy)
Glad she had the summer off.  We had a blast crafting together, well, and shopping ;) LOL!!!

Baby Shower...

Hello Crafty Friends!

I'm back with some projects from over the last few months.  Trying to get the blog all caught up...(you know one of those resolution things...I give a couple days...LOL)  I heard someone call them New Year's intentions.  That just may be how I roll from now on.  haha!

A HUGE family event for my Bestie was the arrival of her very first grandchild in December, and boy did we have a blast preparing for this little guys arrival.  I get to be an honorary auntie....eeeeee!!!!  We did so many different projects for the shower, nursery etc that I will break it out into a few posts.  I really don't know where to start so I think I will share the invitations I made.  Here we go...

Baby Shower Frog card...

Hello Crafty Friends!!

I love these little frog stamp and die set from The {Stamps} of Life.  I made this little baby shower card for our friends daughter that I have known forever.  I can't believe she is having a baby of her own.  Seems like yesterday she was a baby (Well, second grade).  :)

She is having a little boy!  They are sooo excited.  :)  I can see him spoiled already.

Update:

I don't know how this never got published??  Just found it in my draft file.  Weird!  ;)  LOL!  Her little boy came a few weeks early (he was a big boy).  Still haven't got to see him in person yet, but he is adorable!  His grandma was here last night sharing her pics.  :)

Baby Shower Invitations...

Hello Crafty Friends!!

Here is a baby shower invitation I made for a very good friend of mines coworker.  Her theme is puppy dog, blue and brown.  :)  I have to tell you it was really hard finding just the right floppy eared little puppy dog in a rubber stamp.  I searched all of the stores here in town and couldn't find a thing.  So I went the digi route online.  Immediately I found this little guy (or could be a girl) digi stamp from Jackie Matthews Etsy shop.  You should check her out...really cute digi's in her store.  :)

I was going for the onesie theme that is so popular at showers these days and you know how I love my The {Stamps} of Life stamps and especially this onesie4baby set.  And let me tell you how EXCITED I was when Stephanie and Sizzix made the Onesie & Rattle die for this stamp set last month.  I knew this project was coming up and thought, how I was going to have to fussy cut all these. Eek! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Stephanie for making this die.

I colored each puppy digi stamp with my Copics!!!

Love my Big Shot!

I finally remembered to make a generic
invitation so I can share them without
having to black out all the
personal information.  Yay me!  LOL!

I had so much fun making these.

Now it is time to start working on my Halloween projects.  Tomorrow Chelsea and I are going to dig through the closet, behind the closet, under the stairs for the Halloween decoration and costumes.  Oooooo...spooooky!!  LOL!   And our towns annual pumpkin festival is tomorrow.  Homecoming parade is today, game is tonight with the dance tomorrow (helping my niece for that) and then Urban Cow run on Sunday (not running though, Brady will be volunteering at the water station with his Cross Country team).  Anything else I can cram into one weekend...???  I'm already tired, think I'll go take a nap.  LOL!

Until next time...

Weston's 2nd Birthday Card...

Hellloooo My Crafty Friends!

This past weekend was my Great Nephew's 2nd Birthday.  He loves tools and Cars (Lightening McQueen).
When I saw this (click on "this" to see the original card) card on Pinterest, I knew I had to come up with a version of my own, as I knew it would be perfect for him. He is always fixing something around the house and he wants the "real" tools, not the plastic ones.  Following his daddy's foot steps.  :)  Thanks Lori from Organize Chaos for the inspiration...everyone loved it.  :)  Check out her blog, some really great projects over there.  :)

Lori got her inspiration  from Ruelysicreativecards Blog, but I was unable to use her .cut files so had to improvise a bit since I use SCAL2.  Took quite a bit of work but I was able to trace the screwdriver, wrench and measuring tape from the jpeg and used the tracing feature in SCAL2.  I found the hammer here at Cricut Cards.  The tool belt and pockets I made out of regular old cutting rectangles and rounding the corners.  I used my circle Spellbinders for the half round cuts with my Cuttlebug.  :)  For the pencil I used a strip of yellow and cropped the end with a rippled heart punch to give it that shaved look.  I also used a real pencil to color the tip.  Gave it that realistic look.  :)

I want to say a very special Thank you to Lori of Organized Chaos, Ruth of ruelysicreativecards and Cricut cards for inspiring this wonderful project.  It was the longest card project I have ever done.  (Did I mention I thought my son had lost all the tools files after 4 hours of working on them? UGH!  Luckily he saved them before he closed the program...Whew!)

Mr. Weston's "1st" Bday...

Hello friends...

Here is the card I made for my GREAT Nephew Weston's first birthday.  There was more I wanted to add, but unfortunately it was 1:30am before I finished it and my craft stores are all closed.  hehe  What's up with that?  LOL!

Oh well, I loved the papers.  Thanks Ann for sharing with me.  :)  If you could let me know the name of the paper stack, I will put in here. (Thanks Ann - DCWV All About Boys)

My favorite part is the cowboy boot.  I textured it with my Cuttlebug embossing folders to look like tooled leather and ostrich.  Fancy right?!  I wanted to add a lasso but could not find any twine type material in my arsenal of supplies.  The font I used it Dry Goods and the boot .svg came from Images by Heather.  The star come from SVG Shop Blog.  I removed the Sheriff and put in a #1.

OK, well here it is, I hope you like.  :)

2 more challenges for the price of one...

Hello again everyone ~

Today has been a very busy card making day for me.  Challenging as well, had to think out of my comfort zone on this one.  haha  This card took a bit of time and planning.  I am going to enter it into 2 different challenges.  One will be DYSU Challenge #6 - Ribbons and the other is Catch The Bug Challenge - Different Folds.

A little bit of background on this card is I used Penny Duncan Creations PDC Center Fold Card Layout you can find in her My Free Cut Files side bar under Cards.  I used the free Bugaboo Stamps digi Clyde.  (He was so much fun to color.)  I wove ribbon to create a background for my digi image.  And without further ado....here it is ~

Clyde colored with Copics.

Hugs,
