Dem bones...

Hello my Crafty Friends!

Thought I would share Chelsea's project from the other day.  She made a bowl full of bones for the kids at the school she works at.  They turned out so cool.

These were made using pretzel sticks, mini marshmallows and melted white chocolate.

Assembling the bones...

She did fill up this whole bowl...

Dip one side at a time and allow to harden...

Messy hands...

Pumpkins and Ghosts...

Hellooooo Crafty Friends....

What a wonderful crafty Saturday we had here on Saturday.  Kristine and I have been talking about making these ever since we saw them on Pinterest (yes Pinterest again)  LOL!

Thankfully the nice young man at Home Depot cut up all the wood for me in the sizes I needed, so we got real nice flat cuts.  All we had to do was sand.  Now you don't have to sand them perfectly smooth because you want it to have a natural look and the dry brush painting technique works and looks better.  :)

Sand

Base Coat

Layering up colors with dry brushing technique

Used scissors to cut Balsa Wood into sign shapes

All painted up and ready to embellish

A limb from one of my Crepe Myrtle trees

Cut out vinyl face shapes

 And Voila!

Kristines finished ghosts

Stay tuned for Chelsea's Skeleton Bones...

The wedding card and gift...

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well, I finally finished up the wedding gift for the wonderful Woodson couple.  I have to say, that I really loved how this all turned out.  :) It was fun to even get my son involved with his mad photoshopping skills. Here is a before and after pic...

Finish edit!
Not bad for his first time trying I think.  :)
The Gift
I was inspired by a pic I saw on Pinterest.  (Imagine that!)

I got to the wedding set up early and took the wedding date numbers around the whole vineyard looking for places to take the pics.  So everything in the photo is from their beautiful wedding day.

Now for the card...

This is the card laying on the wrapped package.  :)
I have always been a HUGE fan of Kraft paper and twine for the holidays.  Now I am adding lace and burlap.  All inspired from this wedding.  Look out Christmas tree, you are getting a new look this year!  Ha!

Baby Shower Invitations...

Hello Crafty Friends!!

Here is a baby shower invitation I made for a very good friend of mines coworker.  Her theme is puppy dog, blue and brown.  :)  I have to tell you it was really hard finding just the right floppy eared little puppy dog in a rubber stamp.  I searched all of the stores here in town and couldn't find a thing.  So I went the digi route online.  Immediately I found this little guy (or could be a girl) digi stamp from Jackie Matthews Etsy shop.  You should check her out...really cute digi's in her store.  :)

I was going for the onesie theme that is so popular at showers these days and you know how I love my The {Stamps} of Life stamps and especially this onesie4baby set.  And let me tell you how EXCITED I was when Stephanie and Sizzix made the Onesie & Rattle die for this stamp set last month.  I knew this project was coming up and thought, how I was going to have to fussy cut all these. Eek! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Stephanie for making this die.

I colored each puppy digi stamp with my Copics!!!

Love my Big Shot!

I finally remembered to make a generic
invitation so I can share them without
having to black out all the
personal information.  Yay me!  LOL!

I had so much fun making these.

Now it is time to start working on my Halloween projects.  Tomorrow Chelsea and I are going to dig through the closet, behind the closet, under the stairs for the Halloween decoration and costumes.  Oooooo...spooooky!!  LOL!   And our towns annual pumpkin festival is tomorrow.  Homecoming parade is today, game is tonight with the dance tomorrow (helping my niece for that) and then Urban Cow run on Sunday (not running though, Brady will be volunteering at the water station with his Cross Country team).  Anything else I can cram into one weekend...???  I'm already tired, think I'll go take a nap.  LOL!

Until next time...

Back to beading...

Hello Crafty Friends...

A friend of mine recently asked if I could make her a some necklaces, and well of course I said "YES!".  LOL!  I haven't played in my beads for quite a while (and I do have quite the collection, so it was fun digging back into it.)  Mostly all I have been doing is repairs.  So it was fun to create something.

Here is what I made:

This was done with brown cording, lapis and
silver findings.

This was made with purple shell, pearls and
Swarovski crystals.

Some of you may remember that I used to co-own a bead store we had her in town that opened back in 2003.  Seems like forever ago.  :)  It recently closed down a few months ago.  Very sad.  :(
