Bridesmaid invites and flip flop boxes...

Hello Crafty Friends!

You just never know how wonderful people will come into your life.  Ally found me on fb!!!  She saw the boxes I had made for a bridal shower gift I did quite awhile ago, and asked if I could make some for her. (You can find the post and credits here.)  So, I made these cutie flip flop boxes for  the lovely Bride-to-Be for her to present to her friends and ask them to be her maid of honor, bridesmaids and Jr. bridesmaids.  I hope you enjoy as much as we did.

Some of the girls got shot glasses with little bottles of their favorite booze and others (under 21) got perfume.  I loved this idea and was so glad I could help her out.  I love how her and her friends roll!

Congratulations Allison!!  Remember to keep me posted!!  :)

How about a little blog update?

Hello Crafty Friends!

I have been MIA for quite sometime again.  Sometimes my life is not my own.  LOL  Wow, do I have a lot of catching up to do.  Think I will start with a few updates to spread through out the next few days.  How's that?  Don't want to overwhelm anyone.  Plus, this computer (the last working one in the house) is giving me the fits today.  Ugh!  Figures.

Let's see...where to start.   I think I will go back a few months and work up from there. Let's see what is in my blog wait list file...

How about Jessie's and Jesus's wedding in October at the beautiful Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Creek, CA?

Here are the invitations I made for them.  The color was Fuchsia, didn't show up so well in the pics though.

My son cut out all 400 little teeny birds for me.
(Well for $20, haha)
Stay tuned for more crafty projects.  My picture file is bursting.  :)

The wedding card and gift...

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well, I finally finished up the wedding gift for the wonderful Woodson couple.  I have to say, that I really loved how this all turned out.  :) It was fun to even get my son involved with his mad photoshopping skills. Here is a before and after pic...

Finish edit!
Not bad for his first time trying I think.  :)
The Gift
I was inspired by a pic I saw on Pinterest.  (Imagine that!)

I got to the wedding set up early and took the wedding date numbers around the whole vineyard looking for places to take the pics.  So everything in the photo is from their beautiful wedding day.

Now for the card...

This is the card laying on the wrapped package.  :)
I have always been a HUGE fan of Kraft paper and twine for the holidays.  Now I am adding lace and burlap.  All inspired from this wedding.  Look out Christmas tree, you are getting a new look this year!  Ha!

Wedding Announcements...

Hello My Crafty Friends...

As some of you may already know, I have been working on some wedding projects for some really GREAT friends who's son is getting married in September.  I can't hardly wait to see how everything pulls together.  It is going to be FABULOUS!!!!

I am sure it is ok to share the wedding announcements that I made them as they have all been sent out a few weeks ago.  :)  I really loved working with Melissa (the bride)...1. because she was so easy going and 2. we love pretty much the same stuff when it comes to weddings.  LOL!

She pretty much gave me carte blanche on the ideas.  She told me a few things she liked and let me roll with it.  I made her a few samples and we went from there.  Mixed a few together and viola!

It was no surprise to me when she chose the one that I used The {Stamps} of Life stamps on.  (My favorite company for stamps.)  <3  These were the brides favorite flowers and fit perfectly with her fall theme.

Bear with me as I try to find all of them to link here as they have a new website and I have to find them all.  LOL!  I apologize ahead of time if I don't find them all.

I love using white gel pen on Kraft paper.
And as you can see you don't really have to have perfect
handwriting and it still looks good.  This is a sample I wrote.
My bestie Delene addressed all the envelopes.  She has BEAUTIFUL
handwriting.  Sorry I couldn't share one of those.  I should
have had her do a sample for me.
This is how it looked when you opened the envelope.
Here is the inside of the outer wrapping.
Originally my sample was planned for one or the other wrapping, but Melissa
liked both so we went with both.  :)
The top was an information card for directions, accommodations etc.
Next up the response card.  Here we kept it informal and simple.
And then the announcement.  Sorry for all the strike through information areas.
Next time I will remember to print a dummy for my
scrapbook.  I learn something every time I do these.
OK, so now for the stamps I used...they all are from
The {Stamp} of Life

1. daisies2garden
2.  moremums2love
3.  friends4ever
4. The yellow flower is from a special gift
stamp that I received for being a club
member I believe.
(There are some great perks to being a member.)

I embossed the white flower with white embossing powder first
and then stamped over it with the coral color.  I gently wiped off
excess on the white with a cotton swab.

Then I embellished with pearls.
Here I was trying to be artsy with my photography.  I really
need to get this camera in and checked out.  Ugh!
Again, sorry for the strike through's.  :(

I hope you "LOVE"  them as much as I "LOVED" making them.  Loads of labor and lot's of love went into these.

TTFN!

Bridal Shower Luncheon Invite...

Hello My Crafty Friends!

Well I am back from another of many little mini vacations we have lined up for this summer.  I will share about that in my next blog post.  Let's just say that it isn't a family vacation for us unless "someone" or "something" gets broke.  ;)

For now I am ready to share one of the many projects I have going on for this summer and that is a bridal shower luncheon invitation.  This was totally inspired by Valita at Valita's Designs and Fresh Folds.  If you haven't been over to her blog, please go check it out.  She is fabulous!  She is one of the inspirations for me to get into this whole blogging thing.  LOL!  (She doesn't know it, but probably now does, hehe)  I am not ashamed that I am a total stalker.  :)

Here is her post that inspired me...Wedding Dress Card.  Gorgeous right?!  (I'm assuming you went and checked it out?)

I am so excited to be helping out with one of my favorite families who will be getting a new daughter in law this year.  I helped with their daughter Kristine's (pictured below) shower and wedding projects last year you might recall.  She married my Besties son.  You can see the items I made for them under the wedding label over on the left hand side of my blog.  When I saw Valita's Wedding Card I just knew it would be the perfect Bridal Shower Luncheon invitation for Melissa.

And without further ado. here is my version:

Here is the outside of the invitation.

And here is the inside.

I would like to apologize to the designer of
this clothes hanger .svg file.  I downloaded
back before I knew the proper etiquette
for labeling .svg files.  If this belongs to you
please let me know and I will be sure to credit you
and link you to this blog.

As you can see, loads of hangers.  :)

I used my Xyron to make these sticky
as they were too skinny for
my ATG gun to tape.  :)

Kristine, my wonderful helper.

And I am not above using child labor...JK.
This is my niece Taylor punching all the tiny flowers.
Never tell auntie you are bored 2 weeks into
summer vacation.  I will find something for
you to do.  LOL!
We put little glitter Stickles dots in random flowers to give a little sparkle.  Sorry the pictures are so blurry, I only had my Iphone available to me at the time.  Takes better outdoor than indoor shots.  : /

I would also like to thank my Bestie, Delene for her help also.  She is on summer break and I am going to keep her busy also.  LOL!  <3 you girls, you are the BEST!!!!

I hope you enjoyed my little project.  I will be back with another soon.  :)

Stay tuned!

Now I can share...

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I can finally share the wedding card I made for my Bestie's son and his beautiful wife. :)  I really love how this turned out and have been dying to share it, but had to wait until they got it. LOL!  Since she posted it on Facebook the other night (I think they loved it too!)  hehe, so I now know they did.  Yay!  So hear it is:

Is this just the cutest digi stamp ever?
Kissy Kissy from
The Greeting Farm

A close up of the little details.  :) A little tulle,
a little flower and a little glitter here and there.

I love layering the sentiment with a little background
stamp.  I will have to do this more often.
I hope you enjoyed this little intermission...now back to the regularly scheduled program...Christmas Cards! haha!
