Busy, Busy, Busy...

Hello Crafty Friends!!!

"Where have I been?!", you ask, well.....

It has been crazy busy and I am waaaaay behind in postings.  So, so sorry.  I will probably be doing this a lot lately in the coming months.  Lot's going on around our house.  I  will fill you in on that later.  Very exciting stuff.  :)

To start this summer, our son, our youngest child, graduated and turned 18 within a week of each other. Actually today is his birthday!  Woo Hoo!  He is excited to be 18.  Happy Birthday Brady!!!

We have been so busy that a lot of projects have been put on the back burner and graduation cards were made in a jiffy.  Thankfully there is good old Pinterest full of ideas that helped me out since I literally could not get the creative juices going to create anything!!

Anyway, here is a quick card I made for Chelsea's friend at college.  Loved this idea (found on Pinterest)  I could have and should have made it better proportioned, but then, you know, busy busy busy brain.  LOL!

Hello my Crafty friends!

It's been a while.  Wow, time is flying by for me.  I've been so busy.  :)  Graduations, birthdays, bridal showers, weddings...my summer is all planned out.  Plus some really fun trips mixed in there as well.  Unfortunately this whiplash is going to put a damper on most of the activities, but my friends and hubby all pitched in and got me a Kindle, so I am going to read my little heart out.  I LOVE TO READ!  :)

I found this card idea on (you guessed it) Pinterest.  LOL!  I get so much inspiration from there.  I'm and addict.  I know, it's sad.  LOL!  But what can you do.  :)

I made it to fit an letter size envelope.  Additionally I used the stamp sets words2color.  The woo hoo! stamp is from a little freebie set I received for being a club member.  Stephanie just likes to give us a treat now and again.  I love that about her. :)  The die is also from The {Stamps} of Life.

This was for my daughter from another mother who graduated from college.  These were her school colors.  Love you Bar Bar!  So proud of you!  <3 <3 <3

Taylor Promotion (second post) and my prize

Hello friends...

While we didn't get to attend Taylors promotion from 6th grade today, we did get to go to an after school lunch with the family.  She really loved her handmade cards from me and grandma.  She loved how I made mine to look like her (minus the glasses)  I'll need to find an .svg for that.  :)  And she really loved her little mini cuttlebug like mine.

My sister hasn't sent me the promotion pictures from today yet, but as soon as I get them I will share a few.

Here are the pics from lunch today when she opened her gifts, sorry for the poor quality, I only had my Iphone (3g)  I need to upgrade at some point.  hehe

6th Grade Promotion...

Hello everyone!

Today was my niece Taylor's 6th grade promotion.  I can't believe she will be going to middle school this fall.  Seems like yesterday she was starting Kindergarten.  :)

My mom came over the other day to play in the craft room and we made grad cards for Taylor.  We used the .svg grad freebies from SVGCuts.com.  They are so cute and so fun to play with.  My mom used just the hat and I made a top fold card.  I am not very good and describing how to make it, but rest assured Leo and Mary have some great tutorials on their blog to show you how to do various things with their .svgs.  :)
