Some flower pics...maybe some inspiration???

Hello friends,

Today I thought I would share some pics with you I took at my parents house on Easter.  I love their garden and flowers.

If anyone gets any inspiration from them or wants to make a digi out of them (How I wish I could learn how to do this myself) feel free to use them.  I would love if you would send me a copy if you do.  :)  I would really love one of the Calla Lily, hint hint.  hehe  I also think the frog in the hammock would make quite a cute one.  :)

And just for fun...
Here is my new Grand Kitten, Diesel
He sure missed his momma
while she was in the hospital.

Enjoy!

HAPPY EASTER!

Hello my friends...

I hope you all are having a wonderful day with your family and friends.  It will be a small celebration today, mostly we will be relaxing after this very long and stressful week.

I did manage to make a couple of gifts and cards for my nieces and great nephew, so thought I would share.  I was rushed and it was late at night so they didn't turn out as good as I would have liked, but I am sure they will love them anyways.  (I am my own worst critic)  :)

I used .svg files from SVGCuts.com and the file name is Spring Bunnies SVG Collection.  I love this collection.  So much fun to work with.  I made them into cards and the bunny on the tricycle I just made individually.  Here they are...

My white gel pen wasn't working.  Ugh!  And I am
not good at making eyes when I have to draw them
so next time I will just cut out little ovals.
But I love this file.  :)
Same eye problem.  hehe
A bucket full of candy for the girls.  (My sister
will be so mad at me.)  LOL  I wanted to decorate the
buckets, but was pressed for time.  I'll let them decorate it. :)
The flower idea I got from
You Had Me at Craft except I used big huge Tootsie Pops.
(Hers are way cuter.)
And of course my
The Stamps of Life stamps.  The stamp set is:
bunny4Easter.  I really love these
stamps (as most of you already know.)
And here is a little cardstock basket that I just put
this cute little bunny on and stamped with a
sentiment from the bunny4Easter stamp set.
I put a $5 bill for his savings account in a
plastic egg)  He is only 1.  :)
So that's it for me today.  I hope you all enjoy your day.

Happy Easter!

She's Home!

Hello my friends...

I want to send a HUGE Thank You to everyone for all your thoughts, best wishes and prayers for my daughter. I was able to bring her home today "Finally" after some confusion yesterday.  She was released and then found out that her Hematologist doctor denied the release.  He wanted her platelet count to be 70,000 - 75,000 before she could be released and she was only up to 32,000.  :(  She was not a happy camper!

But today she went up to 67,000 so after a LONG day of waiting he finally released her.

I took her home to her house (she wanted to be with her new kitty that she had only gotten 2 nights before she had to be admitted to the hospital).  So I made her a big spaghetti dinner and made her promise to take it easy.  I know she is 20, but she is still my baby.  :)

So I will be back to crafting real soon.  I did make a few Easter things late last night, so I will post tomorrow after the little kids get them.  :)

Thanks again for all the love and support.

No new projects for a few days...

Hello friends,

Just wanted to drop a note that I will not be posting any projects for a few days.  My daughter is in the hospital and we are not sure how much longer she will be in there.  Hopefully she will get to come home tomorrow.  :)

She has Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP)  Here is a link if you want to know more about it:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001562/

Her platelets count was down to 1000 yesterday.  Normal is about 1.5 million.  Her blood wasn't coagulating and she has bruising and petechiae all over her body.  She feels fine, just tired and she needs to be monitored for bleeding.  She had this when she was 3, she is now 20.

Today her counts were up to 6000.  :)  While good, not sufficient enough.  She just got off the IV's and they will monitor progress without the steroids and immune globulin to see if it is still progressing upwards.  We should know more tomorrow.

Hugs,

Bridal Shower Card

Hello all,

My sister needed a Bridal shower card for a friend at work that is getting married soon ( I am working on a wedding card for her as well ).

I used a Sweetheart-Neckline Princess Dress .svg file from Craft Crave.  On the inside it says happily ever after.  :)  It has a base card and then the dress topper which I cut 3 from two different color papers, the skirt paper was already printed.  I cut the 3rd from white card stock. I cut both color and printed paper in half at the bodice.  I ran the top through the Cuttlebug with the Victorian embossing folder. Then I taped the top and bottom to the card stock piece (to give it some backing) then wrapped in ribbon around the waist to hide the seam and glued a bow to the front.  Then I attached it to the card base.  Very easy.  :)  Now what to make with the leftover dress pieces...hmmmmm.  :)

I hope you enjoy.  Hugs,

Heather's Surprise Pary...

Hello friends...

Today is my friend Heather's Birthday!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEATHER!  <3 YOU!

My bestie Delene and I made her this beautiful (if I may say so myself) Apron.  In her color yellow.  :)

We also planned a surprise birthday party for her this past Saturday night with dinner at a great local restaurant and then a night out dancing at a local country bar we had never been too. What fun!  I love my girls.  :)  We have so much fun together.

Here is the card I made for her from us...

Hummingbirds are a remembrance for her of
her late mother.  :)
I found this pic on Google images.

OWH Luncheon Pics...

Hello friends...

Here are the pics from our First Operation Write Home luncheon.  By the end of the day we had made 43 cards.  Didn't quite fill up the box, so I will be working on more today and some of my friends and family are coming back on Monday to make some more.  :)  Spring break and the kids are out of school.  So that should be fun.  :)

My Bestie Melissa.  She recently joined
The Stamps of Life

Somehow my mother and sister managed to leave without getting their
pictures taken.  Sneaky.  I will get you my pretties.
LOL!
This is only my mom's second time and my sisters first time making cards. Pretty awesome.   They do a lot
of other crafting.
My contribution.

We made multiples of most of these cards.

Well, I hope the OWH folks and our troops will like our little contribution.  We sure are GRATEFUL for what they do for us.

OWH Luncheon...

Hello friends,

Today was the day!  I had a house full of family and friends and we made cards for Operation Write Home.  What a blast we had too.  Lot's of food, fun and card making.  I will get pics up tomorrow.  To pooped to move right now.  LOL!  And I am keeping everything out down here and Monday a few of my friends are going to come back to make some more.  We couldn't believe how fast the day went by.  (We could have crafted all night, but I don't have the greatest lighting in the formal living area of the house.)  Hmmm, maybe I should work on that.  haha.

So hopefully I will get those pics up tomorrow.  Plus I can start posting the other projects I have been working on since the birthdays are now past and you can see what my friend and I have been up to this last week to surprise our friend.  Soooo cute.  I couldn't post them in case she saw them on Facebook.  hehe

Also, I would like to share a fabulous Springtime Blog Candy giveaway I came across tonight from Celeste's Touched by a Butterfly that she got from Darlene's Dar's Crafty Creations.  You can see the link up and picture on the upper right side of my blog.  Just click and head on over and become her newest follower and follow the directions to enter.  :)

OK, that is it for me tonight.  I can't believe it is only 8:00p here.  Feels much later.  LOL!

WOW 100 Followers...How about some Blog Candy? [CLOSED]

***Going to keep this post at the top, to see newer posts please scroll down.***
(Thanks QC Kelsy for the how to.)  :)

WOW!  Thank you to everyone who has become a follower.  And again, I want to give a HUGE Thanks! to Momo for getting us all together.  I really have enjoyed meeting all of you.  And am glad we are new blogger friends.

With that said, I have always wanted to do a Blog Candy give away when I reach 100 followers, and since that is fast approaching (97 right now) I thought I would start now.  :)

So here is what I am going to do:

April 15th is tax day.  Yuck, I know, but it could be one followers lucky day, right?  :)

On April 15, 2011,  I will pick a follower from Random.org that leaves a comment on this page and send them a $15.00 gift card from a craft store of their choice (ie...Joann's, Michaels, Hobby Lobby etc.), or your local craft store you frequent if they have gift cards.

Here is what you have to do:

1.  Become a follower (if you are not already one)  :)
2.  Leave me a comment telling me what your favorite craft store is that you would like a gift certificate to.  (If local please make sure they offer gift cards/certificates and leave me their contact information.)

3.  Leave me a email address to contact you.

That's it.  Just a little something to say "Thank You!" for being a follower.  You ALL make my day!

Hugs,
