I was so excited to create this wonderful Tea Party invitation and thank you card set.  I love when something in my brain actually turns out to be what I visualized.

I found the free tea pot line art at Sweet Clip Art and the tea cup came from ScrappinbyKris. 

Crafty Tip:

Here is my little cheat.  I create the image I want in SCAL2,
line it up for an 8.5 x 11" sheet of paper, cut it out, then line the paper
up on my monitor screen and line up the text.
It probably isn't the best method or the fastest, but
it is what works for me.  LOL!  

Summer...

I made this card for our friend that hosts us every year on her houseboat for our annual girls get together to kick off the summer season.  Thanks again Mel for a wonderful, fun filled weekend. Oh the memories...LOL!  ;)

I'll try to remember which stamp sets I used. Of course they are all The {Stamps} of Life.  I made it at the beginning of summer.  :)

Some Pioneer Thank You Cards...

I recently had a very good school teacher friend ask me if I could make her some Thank You's for some really outstanding parent helpers.  They took the kids on a Pioneer Days trip and it wouldn't have been possible had these wonderful parents helped out.  I tried to make them period looking to stay with the theme.  :)

The Thank You stamp set came from The {Stamps} of Life as my 2nd year anniversary gift if I remember correctly.  :)  I couldn't find it in their shop as a regular item.

Now to pay bills.  Yuck!

Scholarship Thank You...

Hello all my friends!

Before the holidays my daughter received a scholarship from the Chapter IP, P.E.O. Sisterhood given in honor of Lori Swanson.  We were thrilled that they chose Chelsea.  After 2 1/2 years in college she finally got one of the scholarships that she applied for, yay!  :)    This will be so helpful to us as the costs of the UC system has gone up dramatically since she started her freshman year.  Ladies, we can not thank you enough.

Here is a card that I made for Chelsea to send them.  The stamp set is from a special gift I received from the wonderful Stephanie at The Stamps of Life for my 1 year anniversary of being a club member.  She is so generous.  I love this set so much.  Thanks again Stephanie!

Another technique I like is to emboss and then distress with emery cube.

Just a few practice cards I made using stencils and chalk.  I have some new ideas for flowers I will try out tomorrow.  :)

Visit with Kaitlyn

Today's visit with Kaitlyn was so much fun.  She is addicted to making flowers like I am.  While I didn't have any success with my Halloween cards...I showed her how to make paper roses and she made these cards.  She is sooo talented.
