Sprucing up an old wreath for spring!

Hello Crafty Friends!

Tell me it isn't so?!?!  I really haven't blogged since October???!!!!  WHAT!!!

I know I have shared some stuff over on my facebook page, but hadn't realized I haven't posted anything here.

Well one of the reasons I know of is that we moved!!  So my craft studio has been boxed up for months and months.  I am still in the process of designing my new craft studio/office but haven't settled on a plan as of yet.  It's getting there though.  I did start unpacking some stuff though to keep me busy.  I want to unpack it all though.  :)

Well to get back in the swing of things I will share my first crafty project in a while.  My front door wreath was looking absolutely BLAH!!!  So I thought I would spruce it up by adding a few flowers to freshen it up for Spring.  I don't think it turned out half bad.

Now to tackle some birthday cards for my girls.  It's birthday month!!!  :)

My sister's birthday present...

Hello Crafty Friends!

Just wanted to share the gum ball candy jar I made for my sister for her birthday and also her card.

The card layout idea I got from a Pinterest pin, and then put my own spin on it.   I would send you to the original link but I couldn't find it.  It did lead me to Stampin' Pretty blog though, and WOW does she have some fantastic cards.  <3 <3 <3  So I linked to her blog, go check it out.  

For Christmas I got 2 new Fiskar's punches, A little bird told me and Petal by Petal lever punches.  I don't have any Stampin' Up products, so I improvise with what I have.  The branch and leaf die is from Sizzix.  

I sponged the bird with some chalk inks.  And of course I used my The {Stamps} of Life stamp sets, words4family and greetings4birthday.  

I hope you like.  I have big plans for those punches!  :)

Birthday Card...

Hello my wonderful friends!

Just got back from our first camping trip of the year.  More of a little get away really.  Our lovely forest that we usually go to is still closed for the winter???  So, we went to a SVRA park (my boys love their motorcycles and quads) instead.  I forgot the camera...duh!?  Sorry no pics.  We got the perfect spot under a huge old shade tree and set up the trailer.  The weather was perfect the whole time.

I was able to catch up on some reading and browse through about 50 old paper crafting magazines (only about 200 more to go...next trip, hehe).  I'm trying to make some more room in the craft room.  :)  So I cut out my favorites for a idea binder and recycled the rest.  It was quite fun to see how far the crafting world has come in the last 10 years.

Last week was one of my really great friends birthday so I made her this card from my Bestie and me.  :)  I know they are mums, but I gave them a spring like feel.  :)  I love to make my own printed papers.

2 New card challenges....

Today I am sending this card into 2 different challenges.

One from By Lori Designs Challenges - BLDC1, this is their very first challenge "YAY!"   It is a color challenge using one of her digi stamps (I chose Peekaboo baby) and this is their color block:

And since I put buttons on it I thought I would enter into this challenge at Do you stackup?: 1st Challenge.
Even the bug was a button that I cut the shank off.  :)  It is their first challenge also.

I am excited to come in at the ground floor of these challenges since I am a newbie too!  :)

Here is my card...

I used Copic markers to color the Peekaboo baby and printed out my own sentiment, the pattern paper is by doodlebug design inc.  And the sketch is from CPS - Card Sketches of which I am working on another card of this sketch for their challenge tomorrow.
