Kayla's Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends!

Yesterday was my oldest daughter's 26th Birthday.  I can't believe I have a daughter in her mid 20's.  I am not that old (hehe).  We weren't able to spend the day together as she lives out of town, but I will see her on vacation next month.  Can't wait to see her, museums, touristy spots and the beach!

I have been cooped up with this nasty cold that has been going around.  I hope it ends soon!  It was my hubby's vacation last week and we spent it sick and just laying around.  No fun!

Here is the card I made her with the new The Stamps of Life stamp set crazy4daisies and the accompanied die set crazy daisy dies.  I am a Die Hard Club Member so I get a stamp set with the matching die set at the same time.  You should really check it out and become a member.  The Stamps of Life is a wonderful stamp company. I also used the die set Sampler Dies.  The inspiration for the layout came from a card I saw on Pinterest from ARTfelt Impressions.  I love how clean and simple it is.  :)

~Happy Birthday Kayla Rae!~
Until next time...

Happy St. Patrick's day!!! What to share today???

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am not sure what to share today???  Let me look into my bag o' tricks!!!

I guess in honor of St. Patrick's Day, I'll share a beer mug card I made for my BIL back in July.  It's not green beer, but on St. Patrick's Day who cares if it's green...IT'S BEER!!!!  LOL!

Have a wonderful day!!!

Burlap Bunting Banner

Hello Crafty Friends...

This is my first time making a burlap banner.  I thought I would share a little bit about my process in making it.  Also, the invitation I made for this same shower.  She is going to put the banner on the wall above the crib.  :) So cute!!!

I am loving all the unique color combinations I have been getting lately for baby showers. Not your usual pink, blue, greens an yellows.

1.  Cut out letters with cutting machine (or you could use stencils).
2.  I sprayed adhesived (tacky only type) the outside of the letter.
3.  Do not spray the letter (I just used this to guide the center of
the letter).
4.  Tacky spray the center.
5.  Remove letter and now you have your perfectly centered letter
to paint.
6.  Using a sponge dauber I painted the letters using acrylic paint
with a stenciling type motion.  (dab, dab, dab)
7.  Let dry and then carefully remove stencil.
8.  I then stitched around the edges with a contrasting thread to
give it some pop!

I then just sewed on some ribbon and hot glued some flowers.

VOILA!!

Here is the invitation I created.  I am loving learning how to use Adobe Photoshop.  Thankfully my son has been a very patient teacher.  LOL!  These are all the colors of the nursery.  <3 <3 <3

Baby Baby Baby....

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well I guess it's about time I got caught up around here.  Been super busy.  I have a few baby shower projects I will be sharing for the next few days.  It's a boom around here lately.  I LOVE IT!!!  <3 <3 <3

My friend Nicole asked if I could help her with some banners for a few of her friends showers.  She has a new little one herself and well, you know how it is when you have a baby.  Enlist help!  :)  LOL! Which I am always happy to do.  I got the owl svg from Scrapcation Getaway  The letter font is Pupcat.  I love this color combination.

Sorry I don't have a pic of it strung up.  When she gets one to me I will share.  :)

So this is one of several, but I will save those posts for after their showers.
