Hubby's Valentine card...

Hello Craft Friends!

Just a quick card for hubby.  This worked up fast using stamps and die cuts from one of my Card club kits from The Stamps of Life.  Stamped on the inside is All of me Loves All of you.  My husband dedicated this John Legend song to me when it first came out.  Kind of our theme.  Love him so much.  <3 <3 <3

I just purchased my first pack of water color paper and tried to do a water color look wash with my Momento pens and sprayed some water on a big Ziploc freezer bag then transferred to the paper.   Not exactly what I imagined it to be.  But I try not to let things go to waste.  Including the background papers.  ;)  (They were from an old bridal shower order and wedding scraps.) Besides...purple and green are my favorite colors. I will keep practicing.

Side note: I did clean it up after I saw the close of  the photo. ;)
I think I need stronger readers!  Noooo!!!  LOL!
Hope you had a wonderful day.

Stamping with our granddaughter...

Hello Crafty Friends!

Our granddaughter, my husband and myself collaborated on a birthday card for Nana yesterday. Using The Stamps of Life with Stephanie Barnard stamp sets, daisies2garden, birthday2celebrate and friendsforever. Granddaughter did the coloring and hubby did the holding. I did the rest. Never to young to start crafting I always say. :)

The kids pointed out that my hubby was imitating Nemo.  LOL!!!

Daydreamer Rope Necklace

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well I finally finished the Daydreamer Rope Necklace by Jill Wiseman today.  I <3 <3 <3 this pattern.  You can find it over on Jill Wisemans YouTube channel.  It has so many possibilites!  I have made several bracelets already also.  I didn't get this one finished on time for the event I had planned to wear it to, but never fear, there is another event coming up. ;)  Right now I am on the fence on whether to sell it or not???  I love creating jewelry, but I don't wear it very much.  I would hate for it to just sit in the jewelry box FOREVER!!  LOL!  We will see.  If there is any interest in it out there, let me know.  :)

It is 30" in length and no clasp.  The pendant does free flow, so you can center it on the more silver portion or slide it to the more colorful side.  I ran out of seed beads so the ones on the more silver side are different but match perfectly in the color scheme.

Colors are a deep blue, dk gray, purple and silver with multi colored seed beads.  The pictures doesn't do it justice.  It is gorgeous in person.  <3 <3 <3

Crochet baby sweater...

Hello Crafty Friends!

The other day I shared a post about the sweater I crocheted my beautiful granddaughter.  Here she is wearing it.

Getting back into beading...

Hello Crafty Friends!

Last week I finally went through and cleaned out and organized almost all of my bead stash.  Gave me the bug to start working on a few projects.  It has been quite a few years, but I quickly got back into the groove of it.  Here are a few items I made this week.

Hope you enjoy!

Baby gown into dress and crochet baby sweater

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I thought I would share what I did to a really cute baby gown that my granddaughter never wore.  She didn't like the gowns.

Found this gown at Hobby Lobby when we were
in the baby shower planning stages.  Mermaids was
the theme and color scheme was Coral and Aqua.

After my granddaughter was born, we realized she really didn't love the
gown idea.  So a few months went by and I thought,
"Why not make a little dress out of it?!"
It was made a of a thick tshirt type fabric so I
just trimmed off the bottom and stretched it out (no hemming...YAY!)
It turned into a really nice ruffle effect which was perfect.
I realized I had about a 5" piece of fabric left with the elastic
bottom and thought..."Make a headband!!"
I trimmed off the elastic bottom and rolled it and ran a seam up the opposite
side to math the original seam and VOILA!  Headband!!
With the left over couple inches of strips I made the flower.

I found this free pattern and made this cute little sweater too.
It's finally getting to be fall chilly weather so this will be perfect.  :)

My Little Miss model.  We added a pair of white capri leggings.
I love how this turned out!

 Until next time...

Hugs,
Terri

Pillowcase dress, Take 2...

Hello Crafty Friends!

The other day I shared a pillowcase dress from Melissa Mortenson at We All Sew.  You can check out blog posts HERE and HERE.  While the size I first made was the 0-3 month size, as you can see in previous blog post, it is a little big for her right now.  So I cut down the measurements to 17"x11"  for the body and 17"x5" for the hem piece.  She is 2 months now and this fit her a bit better.  I still think it could be a little bigger than this, although it does make a cute top size (we are going to pair it with leggings).  I think for the next one I will make something in between.  This is a really quick little dress to make.  Probably only took an hour on this one.

Here she is, my little model...

She has become quite mobile and wiggly these days and this was the only shot in focus.  haha!

Here is a little sneak peak of the next color combo I have in mind...

Stay tuned!

Crochet Turban for baby and update on Pillowcase dress...

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today was spent with my little miss granddaughter and I wanted to share with you one of the many
turban headbands I made for her before her arrival.  I had quite a few days of waiting for her to get here so I busied my hands crocheting head bands and hats for her.  LOL!

I found this pattern on Mamachee crochet patterns.  It is a free pattern and you can find it HERE!  It was very easy to use and I just loved making it.  Go check it out!  It's a little big but she will have plenty of time to grow into it...I hope!  It goes by so fast!!  :)

Here she is wearing the pillowcase dress I showcased the other day HERE!  It is definitely to big for her right now but she will grow into it before the end of fall I'm sure. I'll try to find her a cute little white cardigan to wear with it.  I will cut down the other one a few inches all the way around.  It is a very easy rectangular pattern so shouldn't be hard to adapt a little bit smaller.  :)  She wasn't her usual smiley self this time of the day...she saved up some pretty wonderful smiled for her Pop Pop tonight at dinner though!  I just can't get enough of her!!  :)  (It's a grandma thing I hear!  LOL)

Well until next time,

Pillow Case Dress

Hello Crafty Friends!

Hope you all are well.  It's been a while I know.  This grandma business is the BEST!!

I found this pattern on Pinterest from Melissa Mortenson at We All Sew and couldn't resist trying it out.  It was super easy and super fun picking out the fabrics.  Here is the first one (trying it out for size before I make the next one).  I'm sure it is going to be to big, but since we have summer weather thru October she just might fit into it while it is still hot.  This is the 3-6 month size.  You can see the size chart and easy to follow instructions on the We All Sew link above.

Couldn't resist adding a little pic from our 1 month photo shoot.  She is just to fun!

Until next time friends,

Baby Reveal for our first grandbaby

Hello Crafty Friends!

Catching up on some postings today.  (Better late than never, right?!)  ;)

We threw a baby reveal for Kayla and Chris back in early December 2015 to share what the baby's gender would be.  It was a beautiful day filled with family and friends.  We are so excited!!!

Thought I would share some of the crafty goodies we made...

Countdown blocks I made with months on the other side
so when baby gets here we can take monthly pics.

I hope you enjoyed.  There are tons more crafty projects that have been going on through the months to share, but will have to wait until after the baby shower.  Stay tuned!!

March babies...

Hello Crafty Friends!!

This month we celebrate the birth of our 2 beautiful daughters.  Born 3 years and 8 days apart.  I can't believe they are 27 and 24 already.  Where does the time go???

We had a great day with the whole family (except for our son and nephew that had to work and one aunt that couldn't make it, you  all were missed) that came up to celebrate.

Had to put a temporary craft studio together so I could at least get their cards made.  I have been in trouble these last few months for not hand making cards for everyone.  Who knew everyone loved getting one??  Makes me soooo happy.  :)  I love making them.

Here are the cards I made them.

using a technique from GinaKdesigns (in hindsight I should
have used alternating colors...next time! ;)  I really liked this
technique)
