Wreaths...

Hello friends!

Here is a card that I created using my SCAL2 program.  I wanted to make a door that opens and had a message inside.  Well, try as I might, I wasn't able to make straight line cuts (you know, to cut a door in the middle of my cardstock and score on one side to open?).  Not because the software can't...I just couldn't figure it out.  :)  I emailed Leo over at SVGCuts.com and he got back to me with some advice (Thanks Leo) so I am going to try that.  I am sure it will work now.

Anyways, in the interim, I went ahead and used the door I did create with it.  I used 2 layers to give it that paneled door look.  I found this wonderful wood grain card stock that was in my stash and added a brad for a door knob.  I sponged all the edges and even took my Momento Rich Cocoa marker and covered all the white edges.

I thought the background paper gave it
a log cabin type feel.  :)

My sentiment is from
The {Stamps} of Life
stamp set Holly4Christmas

This is more the color they look like
in real life.  :)

So the door didn't look like it was just
hanging there, I created a doormat
using my SCAL2 shapes, linen card stock and
sponged with Momento Rich Cocoa.
I found the Holiday Greetings stamp in my
stamp basket and it fit perfectly.

For the wreath I used a Martha Stewart Punch
Holly.  I clipped them apart and glues them
on a circle.  Then I added red Stickles for the berries.
Attached a bow.
This was a very time consuming card, but I love how it turned out.  :)  I will work on trying to make a door that opens next.  :)  Thanks again Leo for the help.

Until next time...
